As well as their enviable
reputation for high quality restoration and maintenance of historic
aircraft, Aircraft Restoration Company also have a wealth of experience in
specialized transportation of aircraft by either sea, road or air. This
includes obtaining the necessary paperwork required to export/import
ex-military aircraft, i.e. Export Licences and HSE classification coding.
A variety of aircraft have been expertly dismantled, containerized, and
transported to America, Canada, New Zealand and a whole host of European
countries.

is the latest aircraft to be dismantled and containerised by ARC, ready for
shipping abroad.

Preparing an aircraft for transportation can
be a complicated and exacting task. The aircraft is dismantled and carefully
placed on A-frame and wing trestle supports in the shipping container and
tightly secured with ratchet straps. It is a carefully planned procedure,
especially as there is often but a few centimetres to spare in width and
height.
