AIRCRAFT RESTORATION Co.

ENGINEERED TO INSPIRE

Established in 1989…
We’re in it for the long haul.

Aircraft Restoration Co. (ARCo) is a family owned and run engineering operation specialising in the restoration, maintenance and operation of vintage aircraft.  From our purpose built hangars upon the hallowed grounds of former RAF and USAAF Duxford Airfield, Cambridge, we provide an extensive range of aviation services to likeminded collectors as well as to the Royal Air Force’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Starting a Spitfire with Bremont

Our time-partners at Bremont Watches often land by the hangars over the sunnier months whilst adventuring out on aerial expeditions in their Max Holste Broussard, affectionately known as the Bremont Bus.  During one such visit, whilst enjoying a coffee beneath the warm Duxford sky, Nick English observed an Aerial Collective Spitfire roar into life only meters away.  It sewed the seed of an idea to collaborate on our very own ‘how to start a Spitfire’ video…  What more iconic Spitfire to wake up than the IWM Mk.Ia N3200.

Did you know, N3200 is the only Mk.Ia Spitfire left flying in the world with an early design Rolls-Royce Merlin III Engine fitted… A true one of a kind in both sight and sound, and often heard referred to within our hangars as ‘the baby Spitfire’.
